ABOUT VOKEY GUITARS

Small-batch electric guitars for musicians who expect their instruments to work as hard as they do.

I’m Zach Vokey, the designer and builder behind the Dunham Stageline. Every instrument is built and assembled in my Alberta workshop with a focus on comfort, reliability, adaptability, and long-term serviceability.

FROM REPAIRING GUITARS TO RETHINKING THEM

Vokey Guitars began at the repair bench.

Working directly with musicians gave me a close look at what players love about their guitars—and what repeatedly lets them down. I saw beautiful instruments that were unnecessarily heavy, difficult to maintain, unstable through changing conditions, or too precious for the environments in which musicians actually work.

Those experiences changed the way I approached building.

Rather than creating another guitar intended primarily to be admired, I wanted to build an instrument that earned its place onstage.

That idea became the Dunham Stageline.

BUILT AROUND THE PLAYER

A working guitar needs more than impressive specifications.

It should feel familiar when the pressure is on. It should remain comfortable through a long set. It should be straightforward to maintain, adaptable when the player’s needs change, and dependable enough to travel without constant anxiety.

That philosophy guides every Stageline decision—from its lightweight construction and stable neck to its modular mono-chassis electronics system.

CONTROLLED CHOICES. CONSISTENT RESULTS.

The Stageline is not an unlimited custom build.

Each production series offers a curated selection of finishes, electronics, and hardware configurations. This gives players meaningful control without introducing the uncertainty, delays, and compromises that can accompany a completely one-off instrument.

Every instrument remains distinctly personal while benefiting from a repeatable, refined production platform.

BUILT IN ALBERTA

Each Stageline is built and assembled in small batches in Alberta, Canada.

I remain directly involved in every stage of the process, from material preparation and finishing to assembly, setup, and final inspection.

Vokey Guitars has been featured by CBC Radio One and Airdrie Life, and its instruments are played by musicians in Canada and beyond.

WHAT’S NEXT

The future of Vokey Guitars is focused: continue refining the Dunham platform, work with musicians who test these instruments in the real world, and build a Canadian guitar company known for instruments that are distinctive, dependable, and made to be used.

Built here. Played everywhere.
